QUEST(R) is a true 3D graphics-based discrete event simulation tool formodeling, visualization and evaluation of automated manufacturingsystems. Geometerically exact equipment models provide the user anextremely accurate method by which to analyze 'what if' productionscenarios to determine the optimum manufacturing system based onthroughput, cost, utilization and other user-defined parameters.Models are easily developed using built-in libraries of common processequipment. During simulation refinement, simulation analysis results aredisplayed in pop-up windows. Built-in analysis routines can thoroughlyanalyze throughput, utilization, AGV contents and blocking to identifyand eliminate bottlenecks. The Integral Graphing System included cangenerate comparative graphs: bar, pie, run charts, histograms as well aswhen running batch simulations, QUEST can automatically collect andtabulate data using the Batch Control Language (BCL).
